Secret

C whispered a secret in my ear this morning. "I love you more than I love Calvin." That is so cool! He asked me if I thought Calvin heard him. I think dogs have super hearing, so he probably did. Who knows if he understands, I only know Cal understands:
  • Treat
  • Go Outside
  • Big potty (means please do more than pee so I don't get a present later)
  • Ride (this makes him run so fast to the door, I feel sorry for anyone in his path)
  • Walk (again, be fearful if you are in his path)

After this interaction, we told each other we love each other the mostest in the whole wide world. He asked me if I loved him more than Mimi (my mom) and I said yeah, but in a different way. He said he couldn't imagine loving someone more than your own mommy. He is just so super sweet.

I tell C all the time I have the sweetest boy in the whole world and I really do mean it, he tells me he loves me all the time with really cool creative ways. Also, this morning he loved me "360 and 88 miles."

All the ways....

All the ways….that I can say I love you! C is such a loving dude and he loves to tell us how much he loves us and comes up with totally creative ways to say it.
One of my faves now is “Mom, I love you as many numbers as there is in the number line.”
Here are some other cool ones:
I love you to the moon and back.
I love you all the way to the sun.
I love you to California, Hawaii and back to North Carolina.
I love you to Hilton Head.
I love you four hundred billion miles. (This is a lot!)
I love you as hot as the sun.
I love you the most in the whole wide world.
I love you all over the United States of America.
Occasionally I will get an “I love you more than”…usually followed by…my toys….my legos…my Nintendo DS (Big one!)

He asked me the other day why I loved him. He just wants a short answer and I tell him how cool and loving and sweet he is or something like that. He is all that and more. I love that he is oh so loving and is always ready with a kiss or a hug or some sweet words.

Love and Heartbreak already?

Christopher fell in love Friday with a 1st grader. He was so excited to say he fell in love with a little girl Kennedy, who is in first grade. She drew him a heart, they hugged three times. Well yesterday I pick him up and Kennedy wouldn’t play with him yesterday. She likes someone else, says Christopher. Last night on his chalkboard he asks me to write his name, her name, heart is broken, he drew a heart. How sad for him! This is much too soon for my son to be getting his heart broken by a little girl. He said this morning he did not want to go to school if Kennedy has a new boyfriend. He had pretty much forgotten about it by the time we left for the school bus, though.
